Main Ingredients of the Job   

As a US FOODS® Warehouse Floater, you will be responsible for preparing customer orders that grow our business, instilling and reinforcing safety above all else. We TEAM UP to deliver exact and damage-free orders. Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based

on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.  

Our Warehouse Floaters make $27/ HR. We are looking for Warehouse Floaters who relish the chance to push their potential, grow and reap the rewards of joining the US FOODS® family.   

Pay: $27.00/hr

Schedule:  Sunday - Thursday

• Sunday: 5pm - Finish
• Monday - Thursday: 6pm - finish

What You Bring to the Table  

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 12-hour shifts 
• Operate forklift/reach truck to lower stock to ground level pick slots from higher level reserve slots
• Weekends are Required
• Perform operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, and lift controls
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred 
• Lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.  
• Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred  
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred  
• Prior experience operating a forklift/high-lift is REQUIRED
• Work continually in cooler (35°F- 45°F) & freezer (-10°F to +10°F), company apparel provided

Physical Requirements  

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required  
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required  

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed

• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday.  At times weekends and holidays will required

• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.

• Experience with Inventory softwares (Tandum/Blue Yonder) preferred

• Strong computer literacy skills preferred

• Experience operating motorized pallet jack, forklift or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is 27.00 per hour.
