Primary Duty: The Packaging Line Lead is responsible for leading employees to perform activities efficiently and safely, incorporating quality in every case within company specifications and schedules. The Packaging Line Lead is responsible for the team completion of manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the final product. Duties may include receiving and handling raw materials, operating machinery, and packaging the final product.

Job Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day shift operations of the packaging line in a professional and organized manner; leading, directing and coordinating assignments and activities of assigned employees to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
- Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards. Responsible for reporting all quality defects or issues/concerns
- Ability to work in all assigned areas of the pack line; perform relief duties when required.
- Setup and maintain the packaging line, including starting and stopping of equipment. Ensuring the machinery and equipment used to package products are operated at acceptable standards in full compliance with NCS regulations and processes, and when equipment problems or failures arise, notifies maintenance staff of the problem(s) for correction.
- Train current and new members of the team to perform job related tasks as needed.Â
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in beverage, bottling or food manufacturing (preferred)
- Experience managing a team
- Experience with maintaining and managing packaging equipmentÂ
Skills:
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate staff
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Good attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and hands-on approach
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical ability

Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience preferred or willing to be trained for certification
- Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and related software, ideally Microsoft Office Tools (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- 5S, Lean Manufacturing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience having used ERP Systems
High School or Equivalency DiplomaÂ
