Status: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Salary Information: Annual Minimum Salary-$39,600-Annual Maximum Salary-$59,400

Hiring Rate: $20.00-$23.80
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pro-rated based on hours/week.

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.


The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five-state region.


PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south-central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. General Summary:

  

Supports the secure delivery of student testing by building, administering, and reporting examinations, using university testing systems. Provides front-line operational support for testing activities, ensuring strict adherence to established procedures, timelines, strict confidentiality requirements, and quality standards.


Additional responsibilities of the Senior Testing Coordinator include management of the makeup assessment process, prompt and detailed communication with students, management of more complex testing activities, gradebook management, and acting in an advisory role for any new Testing Coordinators. The Senior Testing Coordinator successfully utilizes excel, works independently, and exercises sound judgment across all tasks.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates with faculty to prepare examination materials, including but not limited to, formatting, importing, reviewing, and tagging exam items to ensure compliance with university and program testing standards.
  • Proctors examinations, serving as a lead or support proctor as assigned, ensuring adherence to testing procedures and addressing routing testing issues during administration.
  • Generates standard post-exam reports using approved testing and reporting templates, ensuring accuracy and timeline delivery of results.
  • Implements approved testing accommodations exactly as provided, following established procedures without interpretation or deviation.
  • Provides professional customer service to students and faculty regarding testing logistics, procedures, or timelines, and troubleshoots examination software issues that arise for students, staff, and faculty.
  • Obtains and maintains NCTA Proctor Certification.
  • Understands and adheres to strict confidentiality requirements. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree AND 1-3 years of relevant experience, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Preferred: NCTA Exam Proctoring Certification

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite programs
  • Knowledge of intermediate-level proficiency with excel
