The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputablefamily-owned distributor of low-voltage electronics to hire an experiencedBranch Manager for their Grand Rapids, MI location

The Branch Manager will lead day-to-day branchoperations, oversee sales and logistics teams, and implement policies,procedures, and best practices that drive operational efficiency and businessgrowth

Schedule: Full-Time | Occasional evenings/weekends | <10% travel

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain company's customer service standards and report service concerns as needed
  • Oversee and understand all branch sales and operational functions, including sales, shipping, receiving, repairs/CRS, RM modules, and inventory
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to strengthen vendor relationships, coordinate training and counter days, and support go-to-market strategies
  • Drive branch growth by prospecting new customers and supporting team sales efforts
  • Reduce slow-moving, discontinued, and dead stock while managing inventory performance metrics, with a focus on:
    • Inventory turns, D&E ranked products, and surplus stock
  • Achieve branch and personal sales goals established by the Sales Manager by:
    • Planning sales strategies and mentoring the existing sales team
    • Setting goals to support monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Review customer performance, recover lost business, support customer growth, and manage gross profit goals
  • Partner with Corporate on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development
  • Support ongoing training, product knowledge, skill development, and employee mentorship
  • Train and mentor the Assistant Branch Manager to support branch operations during absences
  • Promote team performance, growth, accountability, and effective delegation
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and HR on employee evaluations and personnel matters
  • Maintain accurate inventory, warehouse/showroom organization, cycle counts, and physical inventory preparation
  • Oversee daily showroom stocking, merchandising, and appearance, ensuring demonstration units are current and operational
  • Ensure all administrative tasks and branch reporting are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain regular communication with Sales Management and Corporate
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and report violations to the Sales/Operations Manager
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and professional work environment

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5–7 years of relevant sales experience + 1–3 years of management experience preferred
  • Experience in low-voltage industries, particularly fire and life safety, video surveillance, access control, and voice communication
