Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Lawn Care Technician to join our team. This role focuses on fertilizer and weed control applications, lawn health, and turf improvement services.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, follow processes, and show up consistently — not just collect a paycheck.  This role requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.  If you cut corners or struggle to stay on task, this will not be a good fit.

Qualifications:

• Experience in lawn care, turf management, or landscaping preferred (not required)
• Willingness to learn application techniques and products
• Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and customer interaction skills
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying conditions
• Commitment to safety and proper chemical handling
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Applicator license preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Duties:

• Apply fertilizer, weed control, and lawn treatments safely and accurately
• Diagnose basic turf issues (weeds, disease, nutrient deficiencies)
• Operate and maintain application equipment
• Follow route schedules and complete daily services efficiently
• Communicate with customers when needed on-site
• Maintain clean, organized equipment and vehicle
• Track applications and complete required documentation
• Uphold company standards for quality and safety

Career Pathway:

• Lawn Care Technician (0–2 years): Learn systems, products, and routing efficiency
• Senior Technician (1–3 years): Handle advanced applications and problem diagnosis
• Team Lead (2+ years): Train team members and help manage operations

Hours/Compensation:

• Season: April – late November
• Monday–Friday starting at 7 a.m. (40+ hours typical)
• End times vary (4–6 p.m.)
• Winter work (snow removal) available
• Year-round opportunities may be discussed
