Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement activities for custom built special machinery projects in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Organize complex purchasing projects involving extensive specification of requirements or negotiation processes for projects.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and other commercial aspects of contracts with vendors.
  • Define sourcing activities and execute project related purchasing activities (incl. Make-or-Buy analysis) for the respective business unit/product line.
  • Source and evaluate vendors for specialized mechanical, electrical, and automation components.
  • Take responsibility for component-specific cost validation and alignment.
  • Cooperate closely with interfaces along the supply chain and execute change management in projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with project goals.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum one year of practical experience.
  • Proven experience in procurement and project purchasing.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
