Position Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to support the development, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of ECM motors and motor control systems. This is a hands-on engineering role involving laboratory testing, electronic troubleshooting, product development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and analytical testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, dynamometers, hi-pot equipment, sound meters, airflow chambers, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Support design verification and troubleshooting of ECM motors, motor controls, PCBs, sensors, wiring, and communication systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans based on product requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Build and test new motors and controls, including EMI/EMC, surge, EFT, environmental, airflow, reliability, and application testing.
  • Perform soldering, wiring, and PCB/wiring harness assembly.
  • Troubleshoot and improve computerized test equipment and laboratory systems.
  • Support Production and Quality with timely troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Production, suppliers, and management.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO requirements, company procedures, and applicable standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of electronics-related experience.
  • Strong electronic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to the component level.
  • Good understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Excellent soldering skills and knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electric motors, ECM motors, or motor controls.
  • Experience with environmental, reliability, or application testing.
  • Familiarity with motor manufacturing processes and equipment.
