Job DetailsJob Location: Aveka Woodbury - WOODBURY, MN 55125Salary Range: $18.50 - $21.00 HourlyAVEKA Woodbury Job Description     Job Title:               Shift Lead / Production Technician I/II Department:           Production Reports to:            Production Manager Revision Date:        August 2021 FLSA Status:          Non-Exempt   Position Summary: Responsible to lead and complete safe operation of assigned production jobs and lead other production staff to keep the team on task and efficient.   Responsibilities / Duties: Executes all processes according to the provided documentation and AVEKA’s quality and safety systems Set up, run, and clean up production jobs including some or all of the following which may or may not be continuous and/or repetitive: Moving equipment into place Assembling equipment Use of a forklift or pallet jack Manually moving drums Cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas Properly review and fill out associated documentation Prepare products for shipping Meet deadlines and goals set out by management Assist engineers with set-up and implementation of new processes Report maintenance issues / request to the Facility Management or other supervisor Work with Production Management and Production Engineering to identify areas for process improvement and increased efficiency   As Shift Lead: Give work direction to operators and prioritize duties to meet schedule Complete and send daily shift updates Audit processes and paperwork during production shift to ensure accuracy and output requirements Member of the Emergency Response Team   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be a strong problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills Independent organization and prioritization of multiple tasks Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment Able to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information, including drawings, statistical data and specifications Knowledge of, and ability to utilize, personal computers and certain software Skill and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing Knowledge of equipment, production, and packaging processes   Physical Requirements: Up to 100% on the manufacturing floor that requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, reach, climb, bend, twist, push, pull, handle, lift, see, and hear; able to operate forklifts, fork trucks, pallet jacks, hoists, and other equipment to move materials; able to press buttons, operate levers, use wrenches, connect hoses, stack, load, unload, climb stairs, and use ladders; frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and/or moving heavier objects with mechanical assistance; work environment may be very loud, warm, humid, and/or have dust, dirt, debris, and odors; some products contain allergens that may cause physical reactions in certain individuals; requires ability to properly wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, smocks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair nets, gloves, etc.   Up to 5% general office work with ability to sit for certain periods of time to complete documentation, refer to written procedures, log measurements, and related; ability to read, write, and print neatly Reasonable accommodations will be considered per ADA requirements to enable an individual to perform the job if any of the above physical requirements are limited.    QualificationsJob Qualifications: High School diploma or above 3-5+ years production experience Excellent Attendance Past lead work or management experience a plus
