Help Deliver the Kalahari Experience 

Kalahari Manufacturing is a division of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions which acts as our theming company. The “Kalahari Theme Shop” - located next to our corporate headquarters in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin - is key to our success and what helps our brand stand out. Our 20,000 square foot complex houses a plethora of modern technology pieces. The fully commercial metal shop has all the resources needed for our artists to create all our scenic needs. Also included is a full carpentry shop, 3-D modeling computer workstations, foam cutting and carving station featuring laser engraving capabilities, full paint shop, modern welding machinery, full vinyl fabrication equipment and UL certified sign shop.

 

Theme Shop Carpenter

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Theme Shop Carpenter. From drafting to rigging, your extensive knowledge of metal, plastics, wood, and painting techniques will help bring our resort visions to life. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ability to execute and analyze drawings for the purpose of construction and rigging.
  • Accurately manufacture and assemble components of variable materials to design specs.
  • Operate and maintain woodworking equipment such as saws, routers, sanders etc.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in the manufacturing process to optimize efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure successful project completion.
  • Follow safety policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate as a team and use core values and service expectations listed in the Kalahari Promise daily.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Effective English reading and communication skills.
  • 5 years professional experience preferred.
  • Concrete background is a plus
  • Ability to do physical work; stand, lift, repetitive motion, etc.
  • Desire to continually learn and improve
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
