Job Title: Parts Clerk

Location: Winter Haven, Florida

Job Type: Full Time

 

Cardinal Equipment Services is looking for a Parts Clerk based out of our Winter Haven location. We’re currently looking for Monday through Friday, working 6:30AM to 3:00PM.

 

Job Summary:

The Parts Room Clerk is responsible for the accurate organization, tracking, and distribution of inventory within the Inventory Management Cage.  The position supports the production staff by providing them with the necessary parts and cores to complete their work, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry into a company computer system.
  • Stock inbound parts in allocated bins or shelves.
  • Receive, count separate products as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace and inventory management cage.
  • Assist in preparing products for production and inventories.
  • Conduct daily or weekly cycle counts and inventories.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance Inventory Management efficiency.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry. 
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal efficiently with all business contacts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Follow the directions of team leadership.
  • Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • 6 months’ experience in shipping, receiving or inventory control preferred.

 

Work Environment:

  • Work performed on cement floors in a warehouse environment.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperature conditions, including heat, cold and humidity.
  • Noise levels are typically moderate to high due to machinery, powered industrial equipment, and general warehouse operations.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Repeated sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, twist, reach, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties.
  • Continuous bending, kneeling squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicals and noise. 

 

Work Requirements:

  • Follow all Company Safety Rules.
  • Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
