The Inventory Analyst plays an important role for the organization as an internal consultant for all departments.  The Inventory Analyst is responsible for identifying appropriate inventory levels and cost reduction opportunities.  The Inventory Analyst also has the duty of timely and accurate financial reporting.  This individual will be expected to provide detailed financial analysis for all aspects of inventory reporting (operationally & financially) at ZAUS.  

Inventory Analyst

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Publish inventory reports by location & product type
  • Conduct purchase price variance analysis (PCE reporting)
  • Provide projections for future inventory values (cash flow/output/etc)
    • Slow Movers
    • Raw Material Price movements
    • Communication of raw material markets & insight to preserve/improve local costing.
    • Recalculation of production costs based upon inventory cost movement & projections
  • MRP analysis/Future COM calculation
  • Perform Annual/month-end closing
    • Account reconciliations
    • Roll-forward
    • Inventory Valuation
    • Inventory Devaluation
    • Inventory estimates
    • Audit support
  • Maintain Master File data within inventory within ProAlpha
    • Value flow groups
    • Part pricing updates (xfer pricing & supplier quotes)
    • Etc
  • Oversee cycle counts & full physical inventory counts
  • PO approval(s) when required
  • Supplier OTD analysis in collaboration with DISPO
  • “Localization ROI”– Are local suppliers achieving ROI targets
  • Active involvement in Localization steering committee
  • Storage Area Management
  • Find innovative ways to analyze inventory & the impact inventory has on the organization
  • Ad-Hoc
    • Assist with production analysis & output
  • Assist with margin analysis (BOM costing)

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics
  • Experience performing financial analysis in the manufacturing sector
  • Ability to extract and load large datasets for analysis
  • Experience working with ERP systems (proALPHA or SAP preferred)
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Fluent in English required
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
