The Enterprise Voice Technology and Integration Engineer provides technical ownership and delivers secure, production-ready solutions across Enterprise Voice applications, platforms, integrations, and supporting infrastructure.This role translates technology standards, security and risk findings, architectural requirements, operational needs, and emerging ideas into practical changes across the Enterprise Voice technology stack. The engineer drives assigned upgrades, remediation efforts, implementations, integrations, automation, and technical initiatives from analysis through production deployment.
The engineer develops internal tools, APIs, automation, and lightweight applications using Python, modern development practices, and AI-assisted development capabilities. This includes taking prototypes, scripts, and AI-generated code and maturing them into secure, governed, observable, maintainable, and supportable production solutions.
The ideal candidate has broad engineering or application development experience combined with practical knowledge of enterprise voice, networking, infrastructure, security, IAM, cloud, and systems integration. The candidate should demonstrate strong critical thinking, operate effectively with incomplete requirements, identify risks and dependencies, evaluate multiple solution paths, and recommend practical approaches based on security, operational impact, architectural alignment, and long-term supportability.
This role collaborates with Voice Engineering, Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, IAM, Architecture, Operations, Risk, application development teams, and vendors to drive technical execution, strengthen engineering governance, and support the continued modernization of the Enterprise Voice environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Designs, builds, and implements enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, or middleware domains.
2. Applies automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques to ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure.
3. Manages infrastructure engineering projects and processes aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
4. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and continuously improve infrastructure standards and processes.
5. Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues impacting infrastructure performance and reliability.
6. Supports compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
7. Reviews and guides infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
8. Provides technical guidance and direction to lower-level technical professionals.
9. Develops technical solutions with deep analysis of infrastructure systems and leads infrastructure processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
3. Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of enterprise voice and unified communications technologies, including Microsoft Teams Calling, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, SIP, session border controllers, PSTN connectivity, voice gateways, call routing, dial plans, and related applications and integrations.
2. Experience reviewing and remediating cybersecurity findings, technology vulnerabilities, audit observations, compliance requirements, architecture standards, or risk items in a regulated enterprise environment.
3. Experience developing reusable Python services, scripts, REST API integrations, automation workflows, internal engineering utilities, lightweight front-end applications, dashboards, or engineering portals.
4. Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD pipeline authoring, automated testing, deployment controls, security scanning integration, Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, reusable playbooks, inventories, job templates, and workflow templates.
5. Infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code competency using Terraform or equivalent technologies and Open Policy Agent where appropriate, with practical deployment experience in Azure, AWS, enterprise container platforms, or other approved hosting environments.
6. Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype applications, generate or refactor code, accelerate testing, support documentation, and mature prototypes, scripts, and AI-generated code into secure, maintainable, testable, observable, supportable, and production-ready solutions.
7. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to ambiguous technical problems by challenging assumptions, identifying dependencies and risks, evaluating multiple solution paths, and recommending practical approaches based on security, operational impact, architectural alignment, and long-term supportability.
