Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Full-Time | Cambridge Village of Wilmington | Wilmington, NC

Your residents live here. Your therapy should too.

Prava is looking for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team at Cambridge Village of Wilmington.

This isn't a traditional therapy environment.

Cambridge Village was built around Optimal Living®—a philosophy focused on wellness, connection, activity, independence, and helping residents continue to live life to the fullest.

We believe therapy should fit into that philosophy.

Not as something residents receive only after they decline.

As part of how they stay independent in the first place.

What you'll do

You'll work alongside the Physical Therapist to provide exceptional, functional care to residents throughout the community.

You'll:

  • Provide skilled PT interventions under the direction of the Physical Therapist

  • Treat residents across the senior living continuum

  • Help residents improve strength, balance, gait, endurance, mobility, and functional performance

  • Implement individualized plans of care with clinical judgment and attention to resident goals

  • Monitor and communicate changes in resident condition and functional status

  • Provide resident and caregiver education

  • Reinforce home exercise and functional programs

  • Collaborate with nursing, caregivers, families, wellness staff, and other members of the community team

  • Participate in fall prevention, mobility, and wellness initiatives

  • Help residents remain active and engaged in the activities that matter to them

  • Document efficiently using Prava's modern technology and AI-enabled tools

Your patients are people first.

Maybe your resident wants to walk independently to dinner.

Maybe they want to get back into an exercise class.

Maybe they want to take the community bus to the beach.

Maybe they simply want the confidence to move around their apartment without asking for help.

That's what you're treating.

The diagnosis is only part of the story.

We're looking for a PTA who:

  • Holds a current North Carolina PTA license

  • Loves working with older adults

  • Is confident clinically and curious enough to keep learning

  • Builds genuine relationships with residents

  • Communicates well with families and interdisciplinary teams

  • Understands that therapy should be functional and purposeful

  • Can work comfortably across different levels of physical and cognitive ability

  • Takes ownership of the quality of care they provide

  • Wants to be part of a community—not simply assigned to a caseload

Senior living experience is a plus, but not required.

Why Prava?

Because we believe great clinicians deserve great infrastructure.

You'll have access to:

Modern technology — including AI-enabled documentation designed to reduce administrative burden.

Clinical support — standards, resources, mentorship, and a team behind you.

Operational support — so you can spend more of your time doing what you were trained to do.

An embedded model — where therapists become part of the community and build relationships that actually improve care.
