OVERVIEW
Responsible for completing preventive maintenance and repairs on SencorpWhite material and handling equipment installed at various sites. Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve. Must be customer-focused and project a professional image for SencorpWhite. Excellent mechanical, electrical, and computer aptitude required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the ability to analyze and diagnose machine malfunctions
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide solutions both onsite and remotely.
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to equipment at customer sites.
- Ability to read and comprehend both mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Recommend replacement parts and/or additional service when appropriate.
- Accurately document all service calls and maintain current records in Salesforce.
- Adheres to safety procedures, and report any safety issues, including “near misses” and accidents as soon as possible.
- Submits accurate, complete travel expense accounts within 5 days of completion of business trip.
- Follows up with customer to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the company equipment.
SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Able to discern wire colors.
- Vaccinations may be required by some customer sites.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain required vendor credentials, background checks or other documentation necessary to access customer sites, including hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Regular overtime required to meet customer needs.
- On call availability required to meet customer guaranteed response times.
- Willingness to travel by plane, overnight visits required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Sr FSE and/or supervisor.
- Serves as back up to other positions to cover vacations and other absences.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and other physical activity associated with installing, servicing, and repairing equipment.
- Must be able to safely install, remove, and service motors and other machine components weighing up to 125 pounds, with appropriate lifting equipment or assistance when required.
- Must be able to work at elevated heights while using required fall-protection equipment, including a safety harness.
- Must be able to safely work in enclosed or restricted spaces as required at customer locations.
- Must be able to drive for extended periods and subsequently perform the physical and technical duties of the position.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50–75% of the time, including air travel, overnight stays, and extended driving, based on customer and business needs.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED AND PREFERRED
- High school diploma, technical school, trade school or military school.
