  • Establish standards for building systems, equipment, maintenance practices and operational performance.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Environment of Care, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, state and local regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, aligning resources and investments with organizational priorities.

  • Partner with Site Presidents, clinical and administrative leaders, contractors, engineers, consultants and regulatory agencies on critical facilities initiatives.

  • Provide timely executive communication regarding essential projects, infrastructure risks, planned shutdowns and operational priorities.

  • Build a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and respect for the expertise of our frontline teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a management role in Facilities Engineering. Hospital or healthcare facilities experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, power plant/utility systems, general building maintenance and preventive maintenance.

  • Experience with capital and operating budgets, infrastructure planning, construction/project management and computerized maintenance management systems.

  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care requirements, NFPA, OSHA, EPA and applicable state and local codes.

  • CHFM certification preferred.

  • Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC or other applicable trade licensure strongly preferred.

If you can walk into a mechanical room and understand the challenges and then, walk into an executive meeting and help shape strategy, investment and organizational direction, we want to hear from you.
