Job DetailsJob Location: Big Tex Wills Point - Wills Point, TX 75169Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $15.00 - $17.00Job Shift: Day a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Job Overview A successful Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of inventory transactions throughout the warehouse and production environments. This role supports operational efficiency by monitoring inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, analyzing discrepancies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy. The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting procedures, inventory audits, material reporting, and inventory transfers. Job Responsibilities Actively observe and promote Big Tex safety standards. Monitor, maintain, and improve inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations. Work directly with purchasing, shipping and receiving, production, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, and process issues. Develop and maintain a cycle count program utilizing ABC inventory classification methods, establishing count groups and count frequencies. Conduct daily cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory. Research, investigate, and resolve inventory variances and transaction errors. Track inventory counts and review findings with management on a regular basis. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inventory control activities, adjustments, and audits. Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Reconcile physical inventory counts against system records and ensure timely adjustment processing. Audit supplier deliveries, receiving transactions, and inventory movement processes to ensure compliance and accuracy. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory audits. Generate inventory reports and provide recommendations for process improvements and inventory optimization. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and warehouse operations. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift and occasionally sit for prolonged periods while performing inventory analysis and data entry. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Requires the ability to perform a full range of motion, including reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping. Must be able to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with frequent movement between office and production areas. Will be exposed to varying temperatures, including extreme heat and cold, depending on weather conditions and facility operations. May be exposed to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, moving equipment, forklift traffic, and elevated noise levels. Requires the ability to safely navigate warehouse aisles, storage racks, and inventory locations. Must be able to read, write, count, communicate by various channels. Minimum six-month job experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
