As a Professional Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects that enhance infrastructure and improve communities within our geographic reach. This role requires applying engineering principles to plan and execute projects, ensuring they meet safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and government agencies, to deliver projects on time and within budget. The position demands continuous evaluation of project progress, risk management, and problem-solving to address technical challenges effectively. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the creation of resilient and efficient infrastructure that supports public welfare.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license valid in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed engineering designs, plans, and specifications for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project feasibility and compliance with design standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements and legal standards are met.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules, monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Analyze environmental impact and implement sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Manage project documentation, including reports, permits, and technical drawings.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to civil designers and support staff.
  • Identify and resolve engineering issues that arise during construction and post-construction phases.

Work Environment & Travel: This role is office-based, with local travel to project sites, client meetings, or stakeholder engagements.
