Job DetailsJob Location: Williston, ND 58801The Bulk Fuel Delivery Driver focuses on safe transport and delivery of diesel fuel and gasoline to agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers, requiring expert knowledge of petroleum handling, DOT fuel transport regulations, and hazardous materials safety. Maintain comprehensive safety protocols in fuel delivery operations Conduct thorough vehicle inspections across the fuel transport fleet No fuel spills, petroleum waste, and contamination during transport and delivery Increase customer retention Reduce customer wait times for fuel deliveries Customers understand the full range of energy products and services available (propane, lubricants, fuel equipment) through driver interactions during fuel deliveries Customers receive the right service, at the right time, in the right way and no return trips to customers are needed Delivery Operations Expectations Deliver bulk fuel orders (diesel, gasoline, biodiesel blends) to agricultural operations, commercial fleets, construction sites, and industrial facilities Safely operate fuel transport vehicles and tanker trucks equipped with petroleum pumping and metering systems Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of fuel delivery equipment, checking for petroleum leaks, equipment damage, contamination, and proper functioning of fuel transfer systems Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for petroleum transport and fuel-specific delivery procedures Safely connect fuel delivery hoses to customer tanks, monitor petroleum transfer, verify fuel grades, prevent contamination, and ensure accurate fuel metering Use handheld terminals or fuel management software to track petroleum deliveries, fuel inventory levels, and customer payments Interact professionally with fuel customers, answer questions about petroleum products, communicate fuel handling safety, and identify opportunities for propane or lubricant services Conduct basic fuel quality checks and monitor for contamination or off-spec petroleum products Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of fuel delivery vehicles and petroleum transfer equipment Follow protocols for handling different fuel grades and preventing cross-contamination of petroleum products Horizon Resources prides itself on working as one team by doing things the right way for our customers and each other. Qualifications Commercial Driver's License (CDL), typically Class B or higher, with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements required for petroleum transport Pass pre-employment screening, including DOT physical, drug test, and background check specific to hazardous materials drivers Training in fuel delivery procedures and petroleum safety protocols Understanding of fuel types (diesel, gasoline, biodiesel blends), petroleum specifications, and fuel contamination prevention Knowledge of DOT regulations for fuel transport and EPA requirements for petroleum handling Understanding of agricultural fuel needs and commercial/industrial petroleum applications
