Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) 

Compensation: $60 - $65
Schedule: Full Time - 5 days per week, May include Saturdays based on individual office schedule
Location: West Long Island, NY
Practice Model: Single Column 60 minute regular recall prophy
Patient Mix: PPO / FFS 
Benefits Eligibility: Employees regularly scheduled to work full time will eligible for benefits. 

 

About the Role 

United Dental Corporation is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team in the vibrant West Long Island area. 

We are looking for a hygienist who is passionate about patient education, preventive care, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Our New York dental practices are part of the United Dental Corporation network, with opportunities across National Dental and Rao Dental.

    National Dental offers modern practices across New York City and Long Island, providing comprehensive dental care in established communities with experienced clinical teams.
  • Rao Dental
    Rao Dental offers modern practices across New York, focused on quality patient care and a collaborative clinical environment.

This region includes openings at:

  • Raio Dental Hempstead
  • Raio Dental Hicksville
  • Raio Dental Plainview
  • National Dental Williston Park

What You'll Do 

  • Perform dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance 
  • Conduct periodontal charting and assessments 
  • Take diagnostic radiographs 
  • Deliver patient education and oral hygiene instruction 
  • Identify and communicate treatment needs to patients and providers 
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation 
  • Support comprehensive patient care through collaboration with dentists and team members 
  • Promote preventive dentistry and long-term oral health 
  • Active Dental Hygiene License in New York
  • Local Anesthesia Certification (if applicable by state) 
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification 
  • Strong communication and patient education skills 
  • Commitment to quality patient care 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment 

Preferred 

  • Laser Certification 
  • Experience with assisted hygiene models 
  • Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments 
  • Experience with periodontal therapy 
  • Experience with patient education and treatment acceptance 
  • Bilingual skills
