CDL School Bus Driver (Head Start) | 30 Hours/Week | Summers & Holidays Off

As a Head Start School Bus Driver, you will play an important role in supporting young children and families while enjoying a schedule that offers time for what matters most. This position is based on the school calendar and provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community every day.

Pay Rate: $19.59 per hour.

• Approximately 30 hours per week
• School holidays off

*Opportunities for additional work during the summer months if desired.

• Safely transport Head Start students on established school bus routes.
• Operate a school bus in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Perform student safety checks and participate in required safety drills.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to transportation activities.
• Communicate professionally with children, families, school staff, and coworkers.
• Help create a safe, positive, and welcoming transportation experience for every child.
• Utilize onboard technology and GPS systems as required.

Applicants must possess:

• Valid Pennsylvania CDL (Class B or C)
• School Bus (S) Endorsement
• Passenger (P) Endorsement
• Valid Pennsylvania School Bus Driver Physical Examination and Endorsement credentials
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service

• Previous professional passenger transportation or school bus driving experience.
