Wilkes University invites applicants for a TRIO Director of the Upward Bound Program in the Department of Office of Academic Success. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative staff position (100% time committed to Upward Bound) reporting to the Associate Dean, Academic Success.

The successful candidate is responsible for leading, designing, implementing, administering, and managing all activities of the Upward Bound Program to successfully and consistently ensure achievement of its goal of low-income, first-generation students attaining a college degree. The director ensures compliance with the U.S. Department of Education regulations and university policies, manages all aspects of the program, and is responsible for strategic planning, staff supervision, budget/fiscal management, and student services through the program delivery.

A Master's degree is required in Education, Social Services, Counseling, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have four or more years prior experience in educational leadership/educational programming (including design, implementation, and management) working with low-income and first-generation students and their families. Experience with Federal TRIO programs is preferred and demonstrated supervisory experience and fiscal/budgetary management is required.
