Job DetailsJob Location: Wichita, KS 67217Salary Range: $18.00 HourlyAircraft Components Assembler Wage: $18.00/hr ( +14% Shift differential) Shift: Overnight shift Sunday - Tuesday 6:00PM - 6:00AM (Training Period: First 2 weeks, Monday - Friday 6:00AM- 2:30PM) SUMMARY Under the supervision of the department manager, skilled assemblers focus on building and assembling workpieces on to a larger assembly component. Use basic diagrams to identify where parts need to be assembled with basic hand tools. Have attention to detail by cleaning and visually inspecting finished stages of assembly. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as required or needed Identify part numbers from different workpieces allocated to the specific jobs (Ex: Window box, Panels, Stringers and Shearties) Clean surfaces of workpieces in preparation for assembly sealing, using cleaning fluids, solvents, brushes, scrapers, sandpaper, or cloth. Apply sealant to workpiece surfaces (Ex: Window box, Panels, Stringers and Shearties), using applicator guns, pens, or brushes. Examine finished surfaces of workpieces to verify conformance to specifications; then retouch any defective areas. Clean and maintain tools and equipment, using solvents, brushes, and rags. Assist with material handling.
