POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Technologies Technician I is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of end-user hardware and software within the distribution center. This role involves troubleshooting, managing Help Desk issues, overseeing asset inventory, installing new systems, and supporting special projects. The Technician provides technical assistance related to computer systems, hardware, and software by responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, identifying issues, and implementing solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide prompt and responsive support for system-related requests from internal users via the help desk.
- Serve as the point of contact in the absence of the Systems Engineer.
- Lead and train Client Technologies Technicians to ensure effective team performance and skill development.
- Set up and install equipment for employee use, including cables, operating systems, and necessary software.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and support of end-user applications (e.g., Email, DLx, Microsoft Office, Windows), as well as IT hardware used at GNC Distribution. Provide training to end-users and handle the repair and replacement of microcomputers.
- Order equipment from approved vendors and verify inventory upon receipt; ensure proper management of purchase orders and user accounts on the network. Support software licensing compliance across departments.
- Monitor and manage backups for file servers and workstations as assigned. Use help desk software to track and manage system issues.
- Continuously research, learn, and maintain technical expertise for all systems used within the distribution center.
- Maintain positive working relationships across all departments to optimize communication and support.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records of all IT-related equipment throughout the facility.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly/Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year Technical Degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
- 5+ years of successful Network PC experience preferred.
- IT certifications preferred.
- Capability to work closely with the user community in solving day to day issues
- Strong customer service skills, willing to assist all users with various requests
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools and forklifts.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
