Under the direction of the Director, Implementation & Eligibility, Document Specialist is to assist in maintenance of Summary Plan Documents (SPD) for Self-Funded clients, as well as assist in the creation of Evidence of Coverage for Fully Insured clients and other plan documents as required. Will also be responsible for creating pricing proposals for potential Self-Funded clients as well as creating all renewal fee proposals for current clients. 

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Associate Degree preferred or comparable work experience with document development and maintenance.
  3. Strong experience in software programs: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat - willingness to learn additional programs as needed.
  4. Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  5. High level of attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work in a high paced environment.
  7. Easily adapts to changes in work processes.
  8. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  10. Active knowledge of industry (ERISA) and regulatory requirements in Ohio and West Virginia preferred.
  11. Paralegal experience helpful.
  12. Ability to work in various team oriented situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Creating new sale pricing proposals.
  2. Creating renewal pricing proposals, based on a schedule.
  3. Maintain the new quotes log and keep it updated.
  4. Keeping up with PDM updates as needed.
  5. Regulatory updates with PHIA webinars.
  6. Perform quality reviews and editing of documents.
  7. Maintain icontracts for ASO clients.
  8. Create and maintain Policy and Procedures for the department.
  9. Work with compliance and the account management staff for the external reporting process.
  10. Provide any documents to compliance for audits.
  11. Assist with Evidence of Coverage development per plan code/design and maintenance for fully insured line of business.
  12. Assist with Summary of Benefits and Coverage creation and maintenance per the ACA guidelines, Fully Insured and MEWA.
  13. Assist Benefit Plan Grid creation and maintenance for both Fully Insured and MEWA.
  14. Assist with Summary Plan Document development and maintenance for self-funded line of business.
  15. Assist with Amendments and Restatements when changes or revisions need made to documents.
  16. Assist with creating and executing all Administrative Service Agreements for ASO Clients.
  17. Assist with preparing the quarterly RX Rebate listing for ASO clients.
  18. Understand and assist with product form filings through SERFF.
  19. Assist Director of Implementation and/or SVP of Sales and Account Management in special projects.
