​About the Role

As a Production Worker at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations that produce high-quality steel tubing products. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork while contributing directly to operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with production teams, supervisors, and facility leadership to ensure equipment is operated safely and production goals are achieved. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Wheatland, PA.

Requires working rotating 8-hour shifts.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment in a manufacturing environment to support daily operations.
  • Operate packing, banding, and other production equipment to ensure products are prepared and processed according to quality standards.
  • Operate mobile equipment and cranes safely and efficiently to support material movement and production activities.
  • Perform work in hot and cold environments while maintaining awareness of moving equipment and surrounding hazards.
  • Follow established safety procedures and workplace requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support production activities and operational goals through effective teamwork and communication.
  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Previous manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, construction, or production experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment, mobile equipment, cranes, or related machinery preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts, including overtime and weekend schedules when required.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a production environment.
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform work in a manufacturing and industrial plant environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive physical activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and remain active for up to 10 to 12 hours per shift.
  • Ability to use manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina to safely perform assigned duties.
  • Ability to work around moving equipment and varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to maintain physical endurance and mobility throughout the workday.
