Retail Store Supervisor

Portwest Retail is a leading Irish owned retail chain with 4 stores on the Wild Atlantic Way, with stores in Westport, Galway and Killarney.

We are an outdoor adventure focused retailer who work with over 50 of some of the best outdoor brands on the market, our team are motivated by personal passions where you will be helping our community gear up for the next peak, trek or trail.

We are currently looking to recruit for the role of Supervisor, in our Westport store.

Full training will be provided for the role.

The role will involve the following:

• Promoting excellent customer experience in the store
• Identifying new opportunities to improve store performance
• Stock and product promotions management
• Clear and effective communications with team, management and suppliers
• Staff supervision through strong and effective leadership
• Delegation of duties to team
• Strong Visual Merchandising through story telling displays
• Cost control and efficient management of resources
• Leading team to achieve store KPIs
• Key holder responsibility

The ideal candidate would offer the below experience:

• A minimum of 1 year’s retail management experience
• A keen interest in outdoor activities and a good knowledge base of the range
• Strong understanding of customer service and experience
• Ability to work on own initiative and deliver results through strong leadership
• Experience in stock management and Epos till systems
• Merchandising skills
