LSSI is hiring a full-time Program Director, Monday through Friday. Responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating activities of assigned CCS Programs and strategic objectives aligned with LSSI goals to achieve the successful outcome of the programs. May include one or more program sites generally involving multiple service lines. Also responsible for managing an entire region including multiple programs. Responsible for providing leadership to supervisors, and other administrative staff and ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with the agency mission, policies, contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Engage in strategic planning and goal setting for the programs and develop procedures and systems that enhance the effectiveness of the programs.
  • Provide direct supervision, training, support, review and evaluation for Child Welfare Supervisors and other assigned staff.
  • Develop, implement, and is accountable for the program budgets along with evaluation of program effectiveness as it relates to const and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other management staff in programs and network on programmatic, fiscal, organizational and community issues.
  • Maintain staffing requirements and assign responsibilities for coordination and organization of the program staff activities.
  • Oversee program activities, evaluate program effectiveness, and proactively identify and mitigate program risks timely.
  • Ensure completion of all employment-related driving duties and responsibilities during various hours of operation which include day, night, weekend, holidays, normal business hours, after-hours, and extended distance throughout the state.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.

Position Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work or related DCFS/COA acceptable degree required. 
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required. 
  • State licensing/certification as required by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role and experience with Child Welfare required.
  • Demonstrated ability to display positive organizational and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Computer proficiency as needed by the program and willingness to increase skills as required. 
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.
