Leadership Rotation Associate

POSITION OVERVIEW

Schuyler Line Navigation Company is looking for driven, curious associates in West Palm Beach, FL to join our Leadership Rotation Program (LRP) - a 12-month structured development track built to grow our bench of future company leaders.

This isn't a shadowing program. As an Associate – Leadership Rotation (LRA), you'll take on real, accountable work across four core functions of our business, build genuine cross-functional fluency in the maritime industry, and graduate the program ready for a possible permanent placement on the team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Over 360 days, you'll rotate through four departments, spending 90 days in each:

Finance: Get hands-on with AP/AR, general accounting, invoicing, and budgeting - building the numbers-based view of the business that grounds everything else you'll do as an Associate – Leadership Rotation (LRA),

HSQE / Technical: Dig into our Safety Management System, regulatory compliance, and technical/maintenance planning.

Operations: Own pieces of voyage planning, crewing coordination, vessel scheduling, and port operations as an Associate – Leadership Rotation (LRA),

Commercial: Get exposure to chartering, client relationships, freight negotiation, and market analysis.

In each rotation, you'll set goals with your supervisor, take ownership of real deliverables, and keep a rotation logbook to track your growth.

As an Associate – Leadership Rotation (LRA), you won't be figuring this out alone:

You'll experience structured check-ins with HR every 45 days, plus formal close-out reviews at the end of each rotation

There will be warm handoffs between supervisors at every transition, so you're never starting from zero

You'll be paired with a senior Executive Mentor - someone outside your direct chain - for independent monthly career coaching throughout the year.

There is a defined path forward - the program culminates in a possible permanent placement conversation around day 360.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) preferred.

Able to successfully pass a post-offer background check.

Able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail

Able to solve problems proactively.

Able to work discreetly and professionally with confidential and sensitive information.

Able to be adaptable and effective in fast-paced, growing environments

Able to demonstrate a collaborative, team-first mindset with a positive, solution-focused approach.

The selected candidate must possess access to a reliable form of transportation with the ability to work in the office during standard business hours Monday – Thursday, with a one-hour lunch, unless an alternate schedule is approved. This includes the option to work from home on Fridays during standard business hours with a one-hour lunch, unless an alternate schedule is approved. This position is expected to perform work outside and beyond normal working hours during times of critical deadlines, projects, or when there are time-sensitive duties.
