Alstom has openings for interns in its West Mifflin PA locations in various functions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Specific activities will vary by assignment, but can include:

  • Responsibility for cross-funtional project assignments, research, and analysis
  • Conducting special studies in conjunction with a project, analyzing data, and making recommendations based upon studies
  • Documentation and testing
  • Drafting and delivering presentations

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Wide ranges of majors will be considered based on specific needs of departments, such as:

  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Engineering
  • The ability to work individually as well as contribute to a team project
  • An aptitude and passion for solving complex technical problems according to assignment function
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, Excel and interpersonal skills required

 

 

Desired Characteristics:

 

  • Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism
  • Strong computer skills, to include proficiency with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and Power BI
  • Demonstrated  accountability in assignment completion
  • Demonstrated  ability to learn quickly,  and proactively take on new assignments and challenges
