We are actively seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our Sales and Development team on 1st (core schedule, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm) Position Summary: This position is responsible for applying all countermeasures for defects that may occur during mass production to customer drawings. At the same time, it is necessary to fulfill customer requirements, increase satisfaction and build good relationships. Primary Position Responsibilities: Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications to determine design manufacturing feasibility. Extract manufacturability concerns from 2D/3D product drawings, create countermeasure requests and proposals to customers, and eliminate all concerns by die GO. Thorough understanding and application of internal and customer engineering standards (G-TEKT Engineering Standards (GES), JIC Engineering standard, and HES). Determine optimal countermeasure shape through forming CAE result analysis and create countermeasure shape using CATIA V5/3DExperience Extract welding concerns from welding process plan, welding gun data, GES, etc. and create countermeasure shapes. Verify other possible problems during mass production and eliminate concerns Collaborate with all related departments and J-group plants to solve problems and improve business Collect past problem history (PPH) from plants and apply countermeasures to product drawings and die design Report the project status to managers and seek consultation/judgment as necessary Fulfill customer requirements and build/maintain good relationships. Assist with weld layout and part setting order to make efficient mass production processes. Lead or participate in assigned projects. Target a 100% safety rate for E0-1 evaluation in the drawings. Secondary (Backup) Position Responsibilities: Maintain open lines of communication with team members and partners Reply to customer requests with good tactics to balance customer satisfaction and company benefit. Additional duties as assigned. Example: Create CAD data to be utilized by simulation group. Manage customer drawing data.
