Description
The Academic Coach in the Center for Lifelong Learning leads one-on-one lessons that cater to the academic needs and goals of the student.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
- Assists students with homework, projects, test preparations, papers, research, and other academic tasks.
- Provide students with positive and constructive feedback.
- Adapts instruction to different learning styles and preferences.
- Builds meaningful connections with students.
- Offers feedback to teachers and parents when appropriate. Â
- Contacts teachers for guidance if necessary.
- Keeps scheduling calendar up to date and monitors notifications for newly scheduled sessions.
- Attends all scheduled tutoring sessions, arriving on time.
- Keeps Director informed of any concerns.
- Tracks sessions worked in timekeeping app.
