Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Assist in the establishment and leadership of plant safety objectives.Â
- Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures.Â
- Maintain required internal certifications.Â
- Lead, counsel, train and develop team members as appropriate.  Â
- Initiate and deliver any required disciplinary actions for team members.Â
- Conduct periodic performance reviews for team members.Â
- Actively participate in team member employment decisions including hiring, promotions, and terminations.Â
- Track and manage attendance data for team members.Â
- Responsible for individual and team compliance with applicable laws and company policies.Â
- Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and process excellence.Â
- Establish team and individual accountabilities for problem solving and cost reduction.Â
- Perform 6S, safety, process, and quality audits.Â
- Address any identified gaps and ensure resolution.Â
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members.Â
- Responsible for the accurate reporting of asset quality, productivity and other required metrics.Â
- Ensure employees are following JSAs and confronts any unsafe acts observed.Â
- Resolve conflicts among team members and refer issues to higher authority when needed.Â
- Positively communicate changes in business situations, production schedules, and company policies.Â
- Monitor quality and make recommendations on when to stop production based on material being out of specification in conjunction with the Process Tech and Sr. Team Leader.Â
- Attend downtime meetings, schedule meetings, safety meetings, asset meetings, safety reviews and down day planning meetings.Â
- Conduct and manage Shift Handover Meetings, Natural Work Team meetings and other required team meetings.  Â
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork including but not limited to production and downtime reports and incident reports.Â
- Assist operators and coordinate trouble-shooting activities.Â
- Serve as a resource to Production Tech and Plant Leadership in resolving customer complaints.Â
- Responsible for fulfilling the tasks as outlined in the daily task lists.Â
- Required to serve as a member of the Emergency Response team with training required in the following: Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/BBP, Fire ExtinguisherÂ
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Â
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency, required. Â
- College degree, preferred. Â
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, manufacturing environment preferred.   Â
- SAP/MAPEX experience is preferred. Â
- Prior non-woven experience is preferred. Â
- Six Sigma Certification (Black or Green Belt) preferred.Â
COMPETENCIES:Â
- Read, write, and speak English.Â
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.Â
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Â
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.Â
- Capable of traveling as required. Â
- Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task environment.Â
- Six Sigma Certification (Black or Green) and TPM – preferred. Â
- CPR/FA/ BBP CertificationÂ
