Job Details:
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Pay Range:Â Â
$22.35 - $31.95 (pay based on experience) + $2 attendance bonus + $2 premium Â
$3 shift differential for B shift. Â
Hours:Â Â
Rotating 12 hr shift Schedules 2-2-3 Â
1st Shift: 5:30 am – 5:30 pm or upon completion of assigned work  Â
B Shift: 5:30 pm – 5:30 am or upon completion of assigned work Â

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Leader will ensure that all assigned PMs and Work Orders are completed in a timely fashion and will report to the Maintenance Manager and Shift Supervisors via a daily pass down. The Leader will assist with departmental training and coaching of team members, perform daily inspections and audits, and ensure the team members are performing in accordance to the departmental SOP’s while maintaining company policies and values of safety, quality and efficiency.Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
Ensure all work orders assigned to the shift are assigned correctly and completed on time while tracking and assessing individual associates workloadÂ
Train all shift team members on the PM Program, Work Orders and Standard Operating ProceduresÂ
Communicate expectations to team members in regards to team work, attitude and work performance while continually assessing individual performanceÂ
Verify the Pre-Operational status of all equipmentÂ
Maintain and update Lock Out Tag Out programÂ
Coordinate with Departmental Supervisors and Manager to plan all details for installations, rebuilds, and upgradesÂ
Ensure all GMP’s, HAACP, PSM Program, Company Policies and Safety Programs are followed at all timesÂ
Continually audit and validate all departmental procedures revising when necessaryÂ
Effectively cooperate and communicate with other department’s Leaders and ManagersÂ
Obtain excellent working knowledge of all equipment and their components throughout the facility as well as all utility systems.Â
Monitor and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment in accordance with process safety managementÂ
Complete and maintain all required reportsÂ
Other duties as required. Â
QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Proven leadership abilitiesÂ
Strong mechanical background required Â
Ability to use hand tools and trades type toolsÂ
Computer skills, MS Word, Excel Database, and e-mailÂ
Trained in the Maintenance of CMMSÂ
Excellent attention to detail, time management and organization skillsÂ
Highly motivated self-starter who is willing to implement new processes and ideasÂ
Willingness to work overtime as requiredÂ
Ability to be on your feet throughout the majority of the shiftÂ
Able to identify industry standard parts and assist in procuring parts as neededÂ
Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively.Â
Education and/or Experience:Â
Associates degree in Mechanics/Automotive or Electrical Technology preferredÂ
1-2 years’ experience in Facility Maintenance and/or Automotive Mechanic Â
Some training in electrical principals and troubleshooting preferred.Â
Communication Skills:Â
Must be able to communicate effectively.  Â
Other Skills:Â
Computer skills. General knowledge of Microsoft Office knowledge or training preferred.Â

Continuously working around moving machinery, both inside and out with changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working on a ladder at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odorÂ
