2nd Shift Laser Operator

Job DetailsJob Location: WAUNAKEE, WI 53597Precision Matters. So Does the Person Behind the Machine. Do you enjoy working with CNC equipment, solving problems, and seeing precision work come together? We’re looking for a Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team! You’ll operate and set up laser cutting equipment to produce precision sheet metal components while making sure every part meets our quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, hands-on work, problem-solving, and working with precision. WHAT YOU’LL DO Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce precision sheet metal components. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job travelers. Program or edit jobs and nesting layouts to maximize material usage when applicable. Load and unload sheet metal using appropriate material-handling equipment. Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, focus, and gas to maintain cut quality. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Identify and separate nonconforming material and communicate quality concerns. Perform routine machine maintenance such as lens cleaning, nozzle changes, and preventative checks. Track production, material usage, and job completion in our ERP system. Work with Programming, Engineering, Quality, and downstream teams to resolve issues and keep production moving. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S practices. THIS JOB IS A GREAT FIT IF YOU... Have 1–3+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment in a metal fabrication environment. Can confidently read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. Have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate parts. Are comfortable using precision measuring tools. Have experience with CNC controls and/or nesting software. Have a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy troubleshooting. Can manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Are dependable, safety-minded, and work well with a team. Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada, or similar laser equipment is a plus! WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?
