Position Summary
The Steel Stud Framer / Carpenter at Suburban Drywall is responsible for constructing the structural framework of commercial and residential buildings. This role involves measuring, cutting, and assembling metal to build walls.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, and install steel studs
- Informs the foreman of any immediate discrepancies for framing or sheathing
- Follows and listens to specific interior and exterior framing instructions
- Asks necessary questions about the scope of work performed
- Pays attention to specific details for the scope of work
- Works safely around others
- Follows all safety guidelines from Suburban, OSHA, and general contractor specifications
- Reports any project or health hazards to the foreman
