Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Training & Projects Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating production training systems, supporting the deployment of Autonomous Maintenance (AM), technical training activities across all shifts, and supporting operational improvement initiatives across the production organization.
This role is central to building operational capability by strengthening workforce training, reinforcing equipment ownership practices, and supporting initiatives that improve safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost performance. As systems mature, this role will increasingly support and contribute to broader operational improvement and productivity efforts across the plant.
The position also provides direct leadership and supervision to a small team of Production Trainers, ensuring consistent delivery of training programs, employee development, certification activities, and coaching across all shifts.
Job Functions
Training & Workforce Development
- Support the design and deployment of a structured, plant-wide operator training system.Â
- Supervise, coach, develop, and provide day-to-day leadership for production trainers, including work assignments, scheduling, performance management, and professional development. Develop, maintain, and improve training materials, standard work, and certification processes.Â
- Coordinate training rollout across all shifts to ensure consistency and effectiveness.Â
- Support hands-on training and skill development for production employees.Â
- Maintain training records, documentation systems, and compliance tracking.Â
Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Support
- Support the deployment and sustainment of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) practices across production lines.Â
- Assist in developing AM standards, routines, and operator equipment ownership practices.Â
- Promote consistent execution of AM activities across shifts and teams.Â
- Support audits, tracking, and continuous improvement of AM systems.Â
Operational Improvement & Projects
- Identify, support, and where appropriate lead operational improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, reliability, labor efficiency, and cost reduction.Â
- Partner cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to evaluate and execute improvement opportunities.Â
- Support structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.Â
- Track and communicate status of assigned initiatives and support sustainment of improvements.Â

Operational Support
- Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Operations Director in support of operational excellence, workforce development, and business objectives.Â
- Perform other duties as required to support Operations.Â

Job QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or seven (7) + years direct experienceÂ
- Have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in process improvement, Autonomous Maintenance, or related fields, preferably in food manufacturing or agricultural goods processing
- Strong ability to coach, mentor, and influence at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to use logic, reason, and fact‑based decision‑making.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication abilities, and have a high attention to detailÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Word, and Excel.Â

Preferred Skills (Not Required)Â
- Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish
- Previous experience leading, supervising, coaching, or developing employees, trainers, or frontline teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with RedZone or similar production-tracking systems.
- Experience deploying new processes such as AM, technical training programs, etc.)

Salary Range:Â $92,500/yr. to $115,000/yr.
