The successful candidate will join a high-performing team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the development, testing, and validation of the TEMT Tool (The help desk portion), a mission-critical application that supports FAA operational and engineering activities. Working alongside software developers, systems engineers, and customer stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality tools and acquisition support services that support FAA programs and initiatives nationwide. With multiple projects, evolving requirements, and a diverse stakeholder community, this role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning.

 

This position is ideal for a capable professional with experience collaborating with Agile software teams and engaging directly with customers. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders via meetings, phone calls, email, and software demonstrations. Attention to detail, customer focus, and a commitment to quality are essential to maintaining the high standards expected for FAA systems and applications.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, creating and executing test cases, documenting and tracking defects, validating system requirements, and coordinating testing activities across multiple software development teams. The individual will also identify opportunities for process improvements and help promote testing best practices throughout the organization.

 

In addition to testing responsibilities, this role provides opportunities to support customer engagement activities, including demonstrating software capabilities, gathering user feedback, identifying configuration and customization needs, coordinating with development teams to deliver effective solutions, and assisting with support ticket resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading a software testing team, to include leading efforts to identify testing strategies.   
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 6 or more years of work experience supporting clients, including business analysis.  
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with the ability to prioritize, pay attention to details, and follow-through to completion 
  • Skills to document software development requests from clients, and report these to the team  
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with government clients 
  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills  
  • Ability to obtain FAA Suitability and FAA Public Trust. 
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (reside 3+ years U.S.)

Desired Qualifications

  • Scrum/Agile and/or DevOps experience preferred  
  • Automated testing experience desirable but not required

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
