JLL - Senior Facilities Manager (M1)
Transform at JLL as a Senior Facilities Manager on a global client account in our Technology Division! Our client is multinational media, marketing, and corporate communications holding company.
Location: Washington, DC 20007 (adjacent to the Georgetown waterfront)
Work Schedule: Onsite M-F 8 AM-5 PM
Travel Requirements: 25% / once a quarter
Reports to: Regional Facilities Manager
Estimated compensation for this position is: $100,000 - $110,000
What this job involves:
We are seeking a Senior Facilities Manager with strong leadership and administrative skills who can lead our team in Washington, D.C. and oversee the region which includes other locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Arlington. This role will support the facility operations of a real estate portfolio, on behalf of our client, a Fortune 500 media company. This position is fast paced and requires someone who can think on their feet and can pivot without losing momentum. The Senior Facilities Manager will be the main point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the Regional Facilities Manager and the Corporate Real Estate team with the delivery of quality facility management services. This role will coordinate and manage tenant requirements and delivery service to ensure satisfaction. This role is also responsible for preparing and forecasting annual budgets, as well as working with the invoicing and work order systems. Reports directly to the Regional Facilities Manager.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Relationship Management
- Support the Regional Facilities Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client, including possible CapEx projects.
- Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short- and long-term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management team and the client.
- Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for the client (financial).
- Oversee the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative.
- Manage and visit locations in Washington, D.C., Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Arlington as needed.
- Review and approve invoices and procurement orders
- Develop communication with FM team, agency executives, the client, other departments (IT, Occupancy Planning, etc.), and vendors
Program Analysis and Development
- Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and producers’ procedures that reduce short- and long-term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management team and the client.Â
- Support the Regional Facilities Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client.
- Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis.
- Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan for the buildings within the area.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Minimum of 4+ years of third-party commercial integrated facilities management (IFM) experience
Strong organizational / management, interpersonal and supervisory skills
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong knowledge of real estate, construction, elevators, and project management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Share Point
Computer proficiency in Computerized Maintenance management System (CMMS): Corrigo, 360 Facility, Maximo, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience in corporate real estate environments or supporting Fortune 500 clients with complex, multi-site facility portfolios
