Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Site Logkeeper in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public areas, offices, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and questions, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
