This individual will serve as a senior technical leader supporting DHS/FEMA and CWMD test and evaluation activities for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) detection systems. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, analyzing, and reporting developmental and operational testing to support acquisition decisions, technology maturation, and operational fielding; ensures test artifacts and processes comply with DHS Directive 102-01, Acquisition Management; DHS Directive 026-06, Test and Evaluation; and CWMD Operating Instruction 1 (OI-1).  Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an active Secret clearance. This position is contingent upon award.  Responsibilities: Lead and support system-level technical and operational test events for CBRN detection systems at government and contractor facilities, including participation in IPTs, working groups, Test Readiness Reviews, Deficiency/Safety Review Boards, Operational Readiness Reviews, and critical design reviews Translate operational requirements, CONOPS, and technical specifications into measurable test objectives and verification criteria, ensuring requirements traceability, testability, and mission relevance throughout the system lifecycle Lead evaluation and interpretation of test data, developing technical assessments, operational test reports, and executive briefings that inform system improvements, acquisition decisions, and operational readiness determinations Provide senior technical SME support across Integrated Product Teams, operational users, and industry partners to resolve complex integration challenges, align testing objectives, and advance CBRN capability development Drive continuous improvement of DHS and FEMA test processes through technical reviews, lessons learned, quality assurance activities, and implementation of best practices that enhance test rigor, repeatability, and decision-making confidence Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical/scientific discipline (Master's degree preferred) Minimum of 10 years of relevant systems engineering and/or test & evaluation experience, including experience supporting DHS, DoD, or other federal T&E programs; CBRN or sensor/detection systems Demonstrated experience leading developmental test, operational test, and systems integration activities for complex technical systems Strong understanding of CBRN detection technologies, including radiological, nuclear, biological, and chemical detection systems  Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Strong analytical skills for evaluating test data, mission scenarios, and system performance against requirements Excellent technical writing skills for producing test plans, test reports, and executive-level briefings Ability to lead cross-functional coordination among government program offices, contractors, and interagency partners Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple concurrent test activities and documentation deliverables Effective communicator able to translate technical test results into implications for program and acquisition decision-making  About Mayvin Mayvin is more than a workplace—it’s a community built on innovation, ingenuity, and impact.  Enjoy outstanding benefits and amenities, a truly supportive work environment, and continuous opportunities for professional growth.
