The Junior Account Manager supports account management functions by assisting with client service, policy processing, and administrative tasks. This entry-level role involves helping clients with inquiries, processing transactions, and learning the fundamentals of insurance account management while growing into a more independent role within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with policy inquiries and coverage options while providing excellent customer service to support account managers in client retention and policy renewals.
- Accurately process applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations while maintaining records, updating client information, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and agency policies.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, assist in preparing quotes and proposals, and collaborate with underwriters to secure competitive coverage options.
- Collaborate with account managers, sales representatives, and underwriters while participating in training programs and staying updated on industry regulations, products, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years of customer service, sales, or administrative experience (insurance experience is a plus).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) (preferred).
- State insurance license (Property & Casualty, Life & Health) or willingness to obtain.
