Roll Form Operator

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday
Hours: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Pay: Weekly Competitive Pay

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Roll Form Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating roll forming equipment, feeding metal coils through production machinery, monitoring product quality, and making adjustments to ensure parts meet required specifications.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing or metal fabrication experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate roll forming machinery according to production work orders
  • Install and align rollers, dies, guides, and other tooling using hand tools
  • Feed steel or aluminum coils into the roll forming line
  • Monitor machine speed, alignment, feeding, and coolant levels during production
  • Adjust machine controls and HMI settings as needed
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and check fixtures
  • Monitor products for defects such as scratches, twisting, bowing, or improper dimensions
  • Make tooling or machine adjustments to maintain product quality and minimize scrap
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and clear basic jams or malfunctions
  • Report equipment issues requiring additional repairs
  • Operate forklifts or overhead cranes to safely move and load heavy metal coils

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, rolling mills, or heavy machinery preferred
  • Experience operating production machinery is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying weather and temperature conditions
