Job DetailsJob Location: Hamilton, NJ 08619Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 SalaryStark & Stark is actively hiring a Payroll Coordinator for our Finance department in our Hamilton, NJ office. In this full-time, in-office role, you’ll be responsible for independently managing the end-to-end payroll process for our Firm. If you have a strong background in accounting, thrive in a detail-driven environment, and can maintain strict compliance with federal, state & local regulations while processing payroll, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Independently process and administer bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Review timesheets, work records, and wage computations to detect and resolve payroll discrepancies. Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions; process tax withholdings. Track and administer employee leave balances (vacation, sick, personal, PTO). Reconcile payroll actuals against budget and general ledger accounts. Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Support internal and external payroll audits, including worker’s compensation audits. Stay current on payroll legislation and recommend process or system improvements. Assist in various other accounting projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree in accounting is preferred. Experience with independently processing payroll is required. Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and accounting/record-keeping principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/HRIS software. Solid understanding of federal and state wage, tax, and labor law requirements. High degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with HR and Finance. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation a plus, not required.
