New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Consultant to increase the market share of the energy efficient market segment within the NJNG service territory. Market segments include residential and commercial customers realtors, community groups, and program HVAC contractors by promoting and marketing (inbound and outbound customer calls and in person events) the features and benefits of the residential and commercial energy efficiency programs, as well as the benefits of natural gas for potential gas customers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound customer inquiries and participate in outbound outreach campaigns to promote residential and commercial energy efficiency programs, including the benefits of converting to high-efficiency natural gas equipment for prospective customers and existing non-heating customers.
  • Achieve established performance goals for assigned market segments through customer engagement, program participation, and business development activities.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain targeted customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Support the development and execution of market-driven promotional campaigns, customer outreach initiatives, and program-related activities.
  • Represent the company at community, trade, and promotional events by providing in-person program education and customer support.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and customer service or sales experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service, sales, or related experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven sales, communication, and telephone skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and other business software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across multiple business units and functional areas.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance goals.
  • Experience using social media platforms for customer engagement, outreach, or marketing is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Other Details:

Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $53,500- $72,000.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
