Metis is searching for a Commercial Lines Underwriting Specialist to join our Team.

You'll Do Things Like:

Evaluate, underwrite, and manage new and renewal Commercial Property and Casualty accounts.
Determine pricing, classifications, and coverage based on risk analysis and supporting documentation.
Rate and process policy issuance and servicing transactions, including quotations, new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, audits, and related policy changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Two (2) to five (5) years of commercial lines underwriting, rating, and policy administration experience.
Working knowledge of commercial Property and Casualty products, underwriting guidelines, ISO manual and forms, and related rating and policy administration systems.
Located in Roanoke, VA or Richmond, VA

Expected hiring salary range is $55,000-$75,000. Actual offer will be based on a variety of factors including qualifications, credentials, education, experience and location.
