Vinton Plant   JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - ELECTRONIC DEPARTMENT:           PLANT MAINTENANCE JOB DESCRIPTION: REPAIRS/MAINTAINS PLANT ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS   Repairs and maintains electronic circuits and components. Executes work orders and follows up on work being performed, plans detail of work procedures, makes sketches as needed, exercises judgement in selection of tools, materials and the method used to ensure work progress is according to accepted standards. Makes suggestions as to the best means of making repairs to minimize interruption of production. Install and repairs all types of electronic equipment such as controllers, amplifiers, semi-conductors, power supplies, electronic controls, oscillators, etc. Trouble shoots by inspecting, testing electronic/electrical equipment to determine extent of damage and nature of repairs required. Analyzes all types of drawings, wiring diagrams/schematics to determine material replacement needs, and assembly specifications and methods. Fabricates parts as required using machine shop equipment and tools. Performs major preventive maintenance on semi-conductors, electronic controls, components throughout plant. Is able to perform electronic work on a variety of machine types, equipment, and systems used in industrial production of fabric in weaving operations, including program logic controllers and alternating current inverters. Efficiently uses electronic manuals, schematics and blueprints based on need. Sets up programs on electronic drives. Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves electronic problems in machinery, equipment and systems. Repairs electronic boards. Offers insight and suggestions to minimize production disruption and maintain cost effectiveness. Conforms with plant and department safety rules and maintains good housekeeping. Assist maintenance manager as required and informs management of any unusual conditions.     Qualifications
