The Role:
Work Model: Onsite – Warehouse/Production Environment
Work Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week; overtime required as scheduled
Base Pay Range: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour

Summary / Primary Role:
The Logistics Packer is responsible for packing and packaging a wide variety of products and materials by hand to ensure they are properly prepared and safely transported to their destinations. This role handles packaging, labeling, measuring, shipping orders, and preparing products for shipment while following established safety and quality requirements.
What You'll Do:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Logistics Packer who can safely and efficiently prepare products and materials for shipment in a warehouse and production environment.
- Packing & Packaging
- Pack and package a wide variety of products and materials according to established specifications.
- Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools such as staple guns.
- Use polypropylene strapping tools, strap tensioners, and stretch-wrapping equipment to prepare products for shipment.
- Shipping & Order Preparation
- Process shipping orders and prepare completed packages for delivery.
- Transport packages to the appropriate shipping companies or designated shipping areas.
- Load materials and products into packaging or processing equipment.
- Remove completed or defective products and materials and place them in designated areas such as loading docks.
- Quality, Labeling & Documentation
- Examine containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging specifications are met.
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials accurately.
- Mark and label containers, container tags, and products using appropriate marking tools.
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Warehouse Safety & Organization
- Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using appropriate cleaning solutions and hand tools.
- Safely operate barcode readers, scanning devices, bundling machines, bagging machines, heat sealers, staple guns, stretch-wrap dispensers, and other equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment and follow applicable safety procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, packaging, shipping, receiving, or production experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Food Safety and Defense / HACCP is preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to use barcode scanners is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure, weigh, count, label, and document products.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong teamwork, time management, reliability, and personal accountability.
- Professionalism and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.

The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a warehouse/production environment with exposure to airborne particles such as dust, shavings, odors, and fumes, as well as temperature and noise fluctuations and varying vibration levels.
The role requires frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, picking, and pinching. Employees may also be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch throughout the workday. The position requires the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Employees must also have sufficient vision, hearing, and communication abilities to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
