Director of Pathway Programs & Partnerships

Overview

The Director of Pathway Programs & Partnerships is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and growth of Touro University California's educational pathway programs and partnerships. The position will work across TUC's colleges and programs to develop sustainable pathways that introduce students to health professions and other TUC educational opportunities and support their progression toward undergraduate, graduate, and professional education.

The Director will build and maintain strategic relationships with K-12 schools and school districts, community colleges, four-year institutions, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, and other partners to expand access to educational and career opportunities. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing pathways for students from the communities served by TUC and creating programs that strengthen the pipeline into healthcare and other high-need professions.

Working closely with academic leadership, admissions, student affairs, advancement, faculty, and external partners, the Director will help move pathway initiatives from concept to implementation and establish systems to evaluate participation, outcomes, and institutional impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for TUC pathway programs in alignment with the University's mission and strategic priorities.• Identify opportunities for new educational pathways and partnerships with K-12 schools and districts, community colleges, four-year institutions, healthcare organizations, community organizations, and other regional partners.• Lead the development and implementation of pathway initiatives that expose students to careers in medicine, pharmacy, public health, nursing, physician assistant studies, and other health professions represented at TUC.• Work collaboratively with TUC's colleges, academic programs, admissions teams, faculty, and student affairs leadership to identify opportunities for students to transition into TUC educational programs.• Develop partnerships that create meaningful educational experiences for pathway students, including campus experiences, mentoring, career exploration, academic enrichment, internships, summer programs, and other pipeline activities; plan and coordinate pathway-related campus events and partner-facing activities in collaboration with appropriate University offices.• Serve as a central point of coordination for pathway programs across TUC, helping connect existing initiatives and identify opportunities for greater collaboration and institutional impact.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner institutions and organizations and serve as a primary TUC liaison for pathway-related partnerships.• Coordinate the development of agreements, MOUs, articulation arrangements, and other partnership structures in collaboration with appropriate University leadership.• Work with academic programs and admissions leadership to explore and develop appropriate admissions pathways, early assurance opportunities, articulation agreements, and other mechanisms that support student progression while maintaining all applicable academic and accreditation standards.• Identify opportunities to expand pathways into TUC's existing and future undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.• Coordinate with healthcare and community partners to develop pathways that respond to regional workforce needs and strengthen the healthcare workforce pipeline.• Represent Touro University California at meetings, conferences, school and community events, and other activities related to pathway development and educational partnerships.• Develop communication and outreach strategies in collaboration with TUC’s Office of Advancement to increase awareness of TUC pathway opportunities among students, families, educators, counselors, and community partners.• Collaborate with Advancement and other University offices to identify potential external funding, grants, philanthropic support, and sponsorship opportunities for pathway initiatives.• Develop and maintain systems and processes for tracking pathway partnerships, student participation, program outcomes, and progression of participants into TUC and other educational opportunities; define data collection responsibilities, ensure consistent documentation, and coordinate with relevant offices to support accurate and timely reporting.• Establish measurable goals and outcomes for pathway initiatives; monitor key performance indicators, analyze participation and progression data, and evaluate program effectiveness and institutional impact to inform continuous improvement.• Prepare regular reports and recommendations for University leadership regarding pathway participation, outcomes, partnership development, and opportunities for growth.• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; master's degree preferred.• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education, student programs, admissions, educational partnerships, community engagement, workforce development, or a related field.• Demonstrated experience developing, coordinating, or managing programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.• Experience planning and coordinating events, campus programs, or partner-facing activities involving multiple internal and external stakeholders preferred.• Experience developing and sustaining partnerships with K-12 schools or school districts, community colleges, four-year institutions, healthcare organizations, community organizations, or other external partners preferred.• Knowledge of higher education admissions, student pathways, or health professions education preferred.
