The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for developing and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS). The QC Technician will perform quality-assurance, to include material (extrusions, glass, hardware) inspections, testing products, performing in-process and final product audits, and improving processes by eliminating root causes of defects. The QC Technician will participate in committees that have an impact on quality. The QC Technician will ensure compliance with all active industry certifications, such as SGCC and AAMA.  Benefits offered to all employees: Medical, Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) plan with match Vacation Pay Sick Days and Paid Holidays Performance based bonuses ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Complies with all safety rules, including performing duties while wearing proper PPE  Ensure products & materials meet quality specifications and standard work methods are followed    Oversees daily water tests on randomly selected windows  Analyze data and prepare various records and reports  Responsible for managing testing equipment  Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved  Work closely with Shift Supervisors, and Engineers to resolve specification issues    Train production teams in quality control processes to maintain high quality standards  Performs other duties as assigned    CORE COMPETENCIES   Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required. Writes clearly and informatively.   Must be able to multi-task, and demonstrate strong organizational skills    Ability to work independently and as a team; exercise sound judgement.  Computer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software      PHYSICAL DEMANDS  This position may require some lifting to 25lbs unassisted, walking, and standing for long periods of time.    WORK ENVIRONMENT  This job operates in a warehouse/production environment, and offsite jobs with less than 15% of the time in an office setting.    All Weather Architectural Aluminum provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
