Purpose of Job:
Supervises and coordinates the work schedules, assignments, and completed battery pack products of Assembly/Production staff
Job Components:
Oversee and guide the activities of the assembly line staff.
Assign personnel to specific tasks and monitor processes to ensure employees perform them correctly
Train staff on policies, procedures, and safety protocol; May develop training materials and manuals periodically
Monitor workplace safety to prevent injuries and accidents; May conduct periodic inspections of materials and personnel
Manage and prepare schedules for the assembly line workers that ensure steady rotation and adequate personnel levels for each shift.
Support manufacturing activities by preparing daily activity reports; Maintain records to enhance productivity and ensure workers adhere to production schedules and quotas.
Qualifications:
High School diploma
5+ years’ experience with resistance welding, soldering, and small parts assembly and technical battery experience required
Ability to accurately and efficiently communicate, work with and/or train TM of all experience levels
Strong mechanical aptitude required
Experience effectively leading a team
Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and policies
Scope Data:
Supervises staff of Assembly/Production workers
Interacts with Merchandising Support, Sales, Warehouse/Receiving, and Manufacturing
Work Environment:
Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time
Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear
Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs.
